The beautiful colors of the Luzzu and the faith of most of the people of Malta.

Marsaxlokk's parish church, which is dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary, was built in the late 1920s. The unique design and construction of the cupola, in this pure Maltese baroque architecture, adorns this lovely church and which has been the centre of attraction in this picturesque village to visitors in general and to photographers in particular. The Maltese Architect Lia was commissioned for this work by Fr Salvatore Gatt, Marsaxlokk parish priest, at that time and both the architect and the parish priest came from Żabbar where they were born and died.

Most of the Maltese faith is Roman Catholicism and churches are scattered all over the Island and they contain marvelous architecture.

Hi Francis

Good juxtapositioning of the boat prow against the church at right. Colourful with excellent saturation & sharpness. Tfs!

Hi Francis

Great point of view with sufficient depth of field thanks to right choose of f/11
The colors are speaking out, and the details are great specially at far buildings

My kind of shot Francis. I love anything against a stark blue sky. The old rooftops are a nice addition to the shot, but I would also like it without... just a very minimalist shot. Good work.

Hi Francis,

I find your compo very interesting. You have included two subjects of interest and their individual beauty in a unique manner. It may have been good to trade off some shutter speed for greater DOF (smaller aperture), but that's just me nit picking. TFS.

Werner

Hi Francis,
Very appropriate title. Interesting capture of both the boat in the fg and the church in the background. WONDERFUL colors and clarity. You've done a fine job with this photo. TFS Juli e

An alternative PoV but still recognisable as Malta, Francis. The prow is parallel to the spires and dome, all pointing to heaven!
Excellent DoF.
I had never noticed the carving on these boats before.
Fabulous colours.
Regards Jean.

Here you again come with such a marvelous composition which includes a symbolic Luzzu from Malta, Francis!

Great harmony of colors and nice symmetrical work with perfect color contrasts.
The exposure is delicately handled and sharpness is perfect.
Good control on light.

Thanks for sharing.

Kind regards,
Paras

Hi Francis
I love the way you combined colored details of a Luzzu and a small part of a Maltese church. these represent widespread sights in Malta.

Francis, this is ART, very graphic lines and colours are so strong.
The depyh of focus is well handled, everything, from bow through to the distant church is sharp.
Very nice,
Peter.

Two of the trademarks of Malta in one very interesting image Francis, clever of you to disclose just parts of both sights stirring imagination as to what the whole scene would unveil to the viewer in a wider panorama . Well composed in vivid tones , like it,tfs,
Carol

Very nice presentation of the two subjects that are important to the people of Malta. And very creatively done. Good dof with sharp details and wonderful colors. Well done, tfs.

HI Francis....excellent shot...the great colors in the boat are a nice contrast to the background buildings.
