The Three Sisters are a trio of peaks near Canmore, Alberta, Canada. They are known individually as Big Sister (Faith), Middle Sister (Charity) and Little Sister (Hope).

It was Albert Rogers, a nephew of Major Rogers, the discoverer of Rogers Pass in the Selkirk Mountains, who named the three peaks in 1883. He recalled, "There had been quite a heavy snowstorm in the night, and when we got up in the morning and looked out of the tent I noticed each of the three peaks had a heavy veil of snow on the north side and I said to the boys, 'Look at the Three Nuns.' They were called the Three Nuns for quite a while but later were called the 'Three Sisters,' more Protestant like I suppose." The name "Three Sisters" first appeared on Dr. George Dawson's map of 1886 and it is quite likely it was he who thought that the name Three Sisters would be more appropriate.

That is amazing Tom! I would love to see this someday! You got a nice dramatic sky here, nice light. I like your processing, it's always nice with lots of blue tones.

Hi Tomasz,

WOW! What a splendid landscape!
Your composition with the trees in foreground and movement of clouds beyond the luminous mountains appears like a 3D image. Really gorgeous!

Witaj Tom :)

Piekny "portret" tych siostr sjamskich nierozerwalnie zlaczonych z soba na wieki.
Fantastyczna kompozycja tego gorskiego krajobrazu oswietlona zachodzacym sloncem.
Wszystko jest tu cudowne...kolory, swiatlo i samo ujecie.
Zielen drzew na pierwszym planie dodaje uroku.
Gratuluje Ci tego doskonalego i pieknego wykonania.

Hi Tomasz,
I congratulate you because you managed to produce a 3D phototgraph and we can see without using the glasses!
Perfect sharpness and glorious lighting. The trees in the FG are creating the effect because you maintained the green by means of HDR. The only thing I would like to point out is that the presentation is missing some contrast! Just my opinion!
My best regards,

Francis Xavier
