You're gonna get loads of buddy comments such as "Wow", "Cute", "Perfect focus", "Excellent colours" etc for this one Lori, but I have to say, at most it's cute.
Seems to me that taking a break from triple digit and flowers has forced you into believing that you must upload, and this one is a classic example of uploading for the sake of it.
Composition, light and depth is good, but you've admitted yourself: It's noisy, not particularly well focussed enough to support the zoom you've done and more work was done in the software department than the camera.
Sorry. Honesty is the only justification I can give to this one.

I understand what Mitch is saying, your comp and idea is marvelous! But like he said, noisey and somewhat pixelated. PLEASE! Sell the kids, the husband, the car, everything and buy you some quality lenses and a nice camera that shoots in RAW... you will never look back! You got the talent girl!....it's obvious... but your limitations is the quality! That is why you get one point, instead of none here..... it's obvious you have an eye for this!

I see strange comments on your work ! Sell the kids, and that kind of words. :-)
Well, the best is to laugh about it ! and continue with your hobby. THEY have the money to buy expensive camera's, but that is not what it is about. Making a good composition, and having an eye for opportunities. And you DO have this.
Nice capture of this bird. Indeed, there are technical problems visible, but I like the image very much.

As Linda said, I do believe you have an eye for nature photography and you should work to improve and develop your style. The problem with posting old shots is that you're not sharing what you're currently doing to get better photos. Your note tells us the weaknesses of the shot, and they are amplified in the foreground objects that are not in focus. The square format works well here, and this would be a good shot to share on Facebook on the Cornell site. As far as posting it on TL, I don't think it's a good idea, because it is not current and has too many problems. I don't mean to discourage you, but I hope to see you get better as time marches on.

Hi Ms. Lori,
This is a wonderful shot! Nice composition and lovely shot! Noise and the grain is not issue for me while looking at this photo, they add a little art on this composition. TFS!

I think you could have taken a somewhat cluttered AND noisy photo and rotated slightly CCW and cropped big time to include only breast and head. This would probably increase the noise, but sometimes it is nice to see the "heart of the subject" up very close. I would like to Workshop this but do not know how that system works. Love your talent.
