|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|Whilst visiting the Castleton area in the Derbyshire Peak District, decided to climb up onto Mam Tor. A popular hillwalker's venue with fantrastic scenic viewpoint of the surrounding countryside.|
What I wasn't exspecting was the gale-force winds on the peak - clam at the lower altitude, the warming sun was causing the wnid to whip up the side of the peak into a gale at the top.
Nonetheless, I took the camera and struggling to keep steady manage to fire off a few shots.
In the ground around the Tor were cast images cemented into slabs. This one in the foreground was of a dagger. In the distance is Castleton and beyond.
One major faux pas was that I had set the ISO to 800 without realising and with the wind making my eyes water I hadn't noticed the graining in the LED screen after taking the image.
So, the PP work was relatively simple as a result of the grainy image... make it more grainy and increase contrast and a little added saturation.
A think black stroke for a frame and that's the image... Mam Tor.

Your high ISO does not degrade your offering here and your PP work actually looks like a high contrast HDR.
Anyway, a strong image and choice of portrait composition work very well here.

Interesting image with a powerful and dramatic light and color reminding me the middle age, perhaps by suggestion of the sword in the stone.
Your photos have a great personal work with strong impact and definition, Always with drama and power.
I agree with brech. The shot does look like hdr with a great sky and a lovely view. Nice work
