'Til death do us part!
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|Good Morning Everyone,|
It is difficult to define why I like this shot ... but I do.
Maybe it is me giving life to inanimate objects!
The old mill chimney stands in the village, a memento to a previous, thriving industry. It is old, stone and lifeless.
By contrast, a young tree has grown alongside it: young, flexible and very much alive.
The young tree seems to be supporting the old chimney, caring for it in its dotage.
I love the togetherness, the symbolism of unity, as well as the textures and shadows.
Shot in RAW.
Converted in PSE6.
pp rotated 1 degree left, slight crop, adj levels, sharpened, added borders and signed.
Many thnks for stopping by, Bev :-)

I like it, too. For its simplicity and it is a good composition. I like your low pov and it has a good dof with crisp details. Wonderful colors. Well done, tfs.
A nice shot of the some histrionically monument wall captured with natural framing of the trees around the frame and nice lighting.
