Hello dear friends,

Even if Easter is very late this year, my country is still in a winter mood. I never want take photo of snow, enough is enough ... at least until next december! :)
So I had to dig in my archives for showing you the mood of this Spring Holiday. The photo was taken through the windshield of the car last december, when we came back from South vacation. During our absence,
the high tides had partially destroyed the Road 132 along the sea, forcing us to make a long detour through the Chic-Chocs hinterland.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a very warm Easter Holiday!

Hello Annie,

beautiful capture! I love all the details presented here - the winter colours reflected off the big hill top, the freshly fallen snow decorating the trees, and the drifting snow across the roadway. Effective point of view and composition - great sense of depth into the photo with the road leading into it. Lovely colours and presentation!

Hi Annie...very nice shot Annie. Excellent composition with great light and tones.

Roger

Beautiful view Annie. Well composed with the road leading into the distance, great use of thirds, well controlled exposure - giving good balance between the sunlit and shadow areas.
Possibly just a fraction oversharpened!

Cheers
DAvid

Hi Annie,
Yes, a real Winter shot! It's a pity you are still suffering from this cold in Easter!
Beautiful lighting and such sharpness!
I like the lead-in road into the perspective. Nice play with light and the beautiful reddish cast of perhaps Sunset/Sunrise is enhancing the presentation.
A Happy Easter to you.
My regards,

Francis Xavier

Hello fellow Canadian,
As an ex Quebecois I share your frustration with winter which is why after 30+ years we moved to BC.
Regarding the image: I find it oversharpened which gives it a very grainy look. The perspective is good, but there is always the discussion - would a car on that road have added to the interest of the image? I think it would.
Best regards
John

Bonjour Annie,

HI Annie,
Beautiful tones and lighting in this shot, that road takes us straight into hinterland. Nice depth. Have a great Easter. Best wishes
Bri

Hello Annie,

You are struggling to cast winter aside whilst, happily, we have had the warmest Easter for many years! I hope the good weather returns to you soon!
You have a great pov, here, using the highway, with its downward slope, as a fine lead. Lovely controlled contrast between the shady areas and those consumed by the evening sun.

My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Winter Wonderland !
I hope you had a wonderful Easter, despite the wintery mood.

Hi Annie,
This picture reminds me of the way from the family surroundings. In our winter trails in the mountains between the villages look alike, but are often more snowy.

Hello Annie :)

Admirable scenery with the visible from the side sunny light.
The very showy composition in perfect light and beautiful colours.
Excellent realization, I like him very much...congratulations!

We best wishes.
Barbara.

Bom dia Annie
First I hope you had a good Easter with your family.I have been out...but I can´t forget the beautiful photos and emotions that TL has always given me. I look to this photo and I like the beautiful light in the sky and this road that leads our eyes and mind. It is a very unusual atmosphere the one you give me to see here. I like the snowover the trees almost vanished but still there. A good different image awakes special emotion in me. I really like it.
Um abraço
teresa

What an amazing shot!! I do agree a bit oversharp. I think a lot of photos are TOO sharp and TOO bright on this site at times. I love the comp here! Your color and comp is always incredible! Is the white circle at the top the moon? Or just a snow bunny? The orange clouds and orange light on the mountain is beyond beautiful! Well done!
B-)

Hi Annie,

You're capturing well this landscape by very excellent tone and a good angle. So it's impressive and interesting to see the road with ups and down, trees covered in the snow which both sides of road were lined with and white mountain seen far away. And, the sky which was stained with setting sun gives additional good mood for the whole.

Regards,
mikio
