Hello Everyone,

For me, spring is always heralded by daffodils and lambs. The daffodils have taken quite a beating with the strong winds but the lambs can bounce around without the help of the wind!

I went for a walk around the village a few days ago and this little fellow came bouncing up to the fencing, full of curiosity! Well, that was until his mum thought we might be a danger and called anxiously for the lamb to return!

Before he went, he gave us a little bleat.
Aren't lambs gorgeous! Well, not clean but certainly pretty! I was tempted to clone out some of the 'dirty bits' but, hey, this is a babe, having fun!

Thank you for stopping by, Bev :-)

Shot in RAW.
Converted with PSE6.
cropped, little dodging and burning, sharpened, added borders and signed

Adorable beyond words! I could take this one home! My cats would be mad! LOVE the light on his fur, the happy expression, the pinks ears! Nice work Bev!

So cute you want to hug him and I think he likes his picture taken. Nicely captured and framed. Great dof with nice details. Well done, tfs.

Hi Bev,

This is such a cute shot, you have captured the expression so well. I think you did the right thing leaving the dirt on the lamb, rather than show a perfectly white fleece. I also think that the colour of the dye on the fleece when photographing sheep can add an extra splash of colour and interest in some instances.

la nature à l'état pur et avec toute la candeur d'un agneau!
on entendrait presque son bellement
so cut, nice work Bev ☺

Hi Beverley, it is the eye to eye contact that makes this shot a winner for me.
I can just hear its mother bleating in the bg!
Lovely sharp focus on the lamb with nice blurring of the grass. You did the right thing leaving the lamb as you found it with no cloning out of the dirty bits.
Tfs, regards Jean.

You have done really well to get so close with an 18-70.

Really sharp detail, and a great subject.

Perfect spring shot.

Hi Bev,

Lovely spring shot,as Peter mentioned you did well getting this close with the short zoom.
I like your frame picking out the green of the grass.

Hi Bev,
How cute!! This little guy looks adorable. I like his pose and I'm glad you left the dirt spots. The pink ears look great and it looks like he is smiling for your camera. Nice shot Bev. - Kevin

Hi Bev, I hope you grow mint at home. Mint Sauce goes so well with ROAST LAMB. I see the farmer has already marked him with a green chalk - all ready for the oven.

But he is a cute little fellow - he looks so new there too. Excellent focus and his details, dirt and all, show up really well

Thank you for sharing
