After your reaction to my swan yesterday (thank you so much) I knew I could not find anything that would compare. I looked through my shots that were sized and ready to upload and found this very chilly squirrel. I had thrown critter food out on the deck and she couldn't wait to help herself to a kernel of corn. She sat staring at me through the window and I even think I heard her say thank you in between bites. Hope you like her. Have a good week and may the situation in Japan improve every day.

Hi Lori
Excellent shot, great focus and details, good lighting.

good focus...

Hello Lori,
This is as good as your swan. It really has meaning. We become human beings when we can relate to the rest of nature and that is what you are doing. But let me not get too "philosophical". Very well done.

Hello Lori.
This has to be the most adorable squirrel! Fantastic close-up with amazing details, cute expression and wonderful colors.Best regards Siegfried

A quite out of the ordinary composition.Intimate yet picturesque.Greetings Otto.

Hello Lori

Wow......here is a keeper. I like the upclose meeting here with the Squirrel. The capture of the eyes make this image really POP.

Wonderful shot Lori!! Excellent sharpness, LOVE the deep DOF! Very nice work on this! Centering the subject works GREAT here as the photo becomes more symmetrical!

Hi Lori
Wonderful portrait ;)
I like the deep DOF!

Hi Lori,

This one is excellent,I love your POV. The detail on the squirrel's face and the paws is super sharp and I like the blur into the background.

Was this actually shot through a window? It looks as clear as air. I was impressed with how close (even with a helpful lens) you had gotten to the squirrel. And btw, I only noticed who the photographer was after I clicked on the picture to make my comment.

Hello Lori,

fantastic head on shot of this frozen looking squirrel! Excellent sharpness and DOF with the focus on his eyes, whiskers and the frosted snow flakes on its nose. Great point of view, composition and pose captured.
