Bondi Beach is a popular beach and the name of the surrounding suburb in Sydney, Australia. It is located 7 kilometres east of the Sydney CBD. 'Bondi' or 'Boondi' is an Aboriginal word meaning water breaking over rocks or noise of water breaking over rocks. The Australian Museum records that Bondi means 'place where a flight of nullas took place'. Between 1855 and 1877 Francis O'Brien of the Bondi Estate made the beach and the surrounding land available to the public as a picnic ground and pleasure resort, but for many years threatened to stop public access to the beach because of its popularity. It was not until June 1882 that the Government acted and Bondi Beach opened to the public.

Today, Bondi is well known for its great sandy beach, as well as its surf. It is a modern and trendy coastal resort, which is very popular. Bondi has a number of cafes and restaurants which look out over the beach and makes a great place to stay and visit.

Hi Tsilla,
A multi-populated beach shot with such a vastness. Perfect lighting to produce such a contrasty perspective. A considerable DOF from such a hgh POV.
Nice play with shadows.
Well done for this neat shot.
My best regards,

Looking at the number of people I'd say it is a popular beach, and you captured it well. Good pov and dof with nice details. Nice colors. Well done, tfs.

Hi, Tsilla. Panaromic view of this lovely beach taken from a great POV to include the expanse and give an idea of the scale. Sharpness, perspective and composition is superb of this beautiful postcard. Shallom.

Such a nice shot Tsilla. I smile whenever I look at it. Great composition, pov, dof, lighting and color. The detail of all the people is just wonderful. For a moment, I am there. Great job. TFS and have a great weekend, Lori

Hi Tsilla,
Fore me the main aspect of this photo is the composition and the combination of space and crowdedness. Well done.

Hi Tsilla, Very good panorama of this this wonderful beach. It is a timeless view, similar to the scene back in 1940s etc. The layers of sunbathers is good to see. TFS. Murray

Hi Tsilla:)
What I like here it is how you've build this frame. Composition is just the way it should be and of course beach is great place to be - no more looking up the winter that I really hate.
Nice and optimistic picture.
Shalom - Tom:)
