|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|I spotted this horse grazing in a field as I walked back to my car from the bird lake. He/she was right beside a barb wire fence so it was difficult to get a shot without the wire in the image too. I waited until he moved just a little and then managed to get one shot before he moved back again. There was also a grey foal too but it was impossible to get a shot without the wire. Hopefully they will be there next time so I can get an image of both of them together.|
Shot in RAW, levels altered in Photoshop, tried to take out some of the highlights on the mane above the right eye but that didn't work so well so I left that. Lightened the left eye a little with the dodge tool, sharpened and resized.

An interesting portrait of this horse busy grazing in the grass.
Very good light management of this back lit subject, nice rim lighting!
A good crop to obtain this artistic composition.
My best regards,

beautifull horse! with white, an old one?
I find you croped it very very short... for me a little more grass on the in front of the nose cann be preaps beter?
Beautiful shot Joy. Lovely lighting, sharp detail and beautiful color and texture. To avoid the wire you did a tight crop but I think it really works here and makes for a nice composition. TFS, Lori
