[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Someone had discarded this apple in the courtyard, and it was welcome food for the birds in the vicinity. I saw this on my way back home and clicked this picture. In the evening there was an army of European Starlings having a feast on this apple which by now had a huge crater at the top. There were visitors like a Northern Mockingbird, a few Dark-eyed Juncos, etc, but the starlings were the bullies. They chased away the mockingbird who took advantage of their brief absence from the scene.

The first strike on this apple however seems to have occurred soon before I clicked this snap. The mysterious chap who did it I don't know, I dare say he had a sharp beak......probably the pioneer Starling
