Howdy neighbor! It doesn't get any sharper than this! Excellent work Werner. Nice Bokeh you have achieved here. A little OE, which isn't bad and CAN work, and DOES work here! Beautiful!

Again, lovely sharpness and excellent depth of field - and a cheeky wee glint in his eye. Another lovely bird shot, well above the TL norm for this type of photography and a pleasure to see. Lovely stuff.

I like the black, blacks you captured in its plummage, dark & shiny as a blackbird should be.I like your clarity & sharpness,I know this guy does not like to pose,& if he spies you first,he's off like a shot.Good capture,I like both the catchlight in its eye & the insect in its beak, not that easy to get.

Wonderful details and crisp sharpness here I see the same lens and body but a lot of improvement, ideal lighting and OOF BG makes it one very good shot.
My Best Wishes

The bird gives a fine natural pose,
and the catchlight however small is eye-catching!
The bird melts well in the surroundings, but the
sharpness of details still makes it stand out very well...
Well framed with a fine 3D feeling!

Very nice shot of the Red-winged Blackbird. In bird photography, it is important to have that glint in the eye, a kind of eye contact. Details on the front part of the bird are pin sharp but the light was missing on the rest of the body. It's nice to see the red tone just above the red shoulder.I would have like to see it on a more natural perch but, you have to take them the way they are, I know what I'm talking about.
PS If you want to get one in flight, here's a hint: Try to get close to a nest during the nesting season. The male will try to intimidete you and sometimes atttack you. But make sure not to harrass them.

Well, this is a new bird, for me, and what a cracker it is! I have seen your skills blossom whilst you have been on this site, you now produce bird shots which are sharp, detailed and beautifully composed. This is no exception!
The plummage textures and catchlight are the icing on the cake!
Have a good day,

As for the exposure, and contrast, can't do much better then this, the colors a vivid, and real, well saturated, the black are dark, yet well detailled, so are the highlight...no hotspot here...)))
Simple but well composed, the bird getting all the attention.
