Taken on my last 'operational' trip. On the way to Tunis and a company 777-300ER passes us, 2000' above my office. Although the 773 is a little bit faster than the Airbus 330 that I was flying he took about 4 hours to get past having taken off just behind us in Dubai and finally passing as we overflew Alexandria on the Med coast. This 'plane was bound for Rome...

A single RAW shot, very little PP to the base image, silly frame and text added. Can't really do much about the composition as I wasn't exactly in a position to change the angle.

Taken with my 85mm Nikkor lens.

Hi David,
Thank you for this shot as I never saw an aircraft from beneath!
I like the original POV (which I assume a pilot only can produce such a shot).
Great clarity and a neat presentation.
The only thing I'm against is the title on the frame!
Well done,

Francis Xavier

Neat and simple, it works with just two elements: plane and smoke... i like it!

The tilt of the Airbus 330 direction versus the horizontal frame is very slight (a few degrees).
Maybe if you tilted it to get it parallel, it could look yet more 'neat' and 'clean'... or maybe, either increasing the tilt could also be a clever option.

YOu are privy to views up there that most of the rest of us never see. Good one David! Great minimalist shot. The black borders are appropriate too .. could be right out of a magazine.

Wonderful image! It really impresses your chosen POV, colors very well defined idea! I can only congratulate you wonder that you posted it and I hope soon to see pictures as beautiful ..
Best regards

Hell-of-a-shot David! So while you were "playing" with the camera, who was driving the plane? haha! Superb sharpness, I assume this was taken through glass, which is pretty amazing in itself! A rare view that 99.999% of us never see! Well done!

you have got this spot on the button David the sense of speede in the image is first class personley i think the frame adds something special to the shot
tfs regards bryan

Sharp and great capture of this plane and contrail. Great pov and dof with sharp details. I'm addicted...taking lots of warplane pictures. There's a Red Flag Exercise at Nellis AFB for the next 3 weeks, 6 miles from my house, with units including U.K., U.A.E. and Australia. I'm in heaven.

Hi David
spectacular shot with a lovely contrast of colour - I think the frame and text are quite appropriate for this kind of shot

Hi David, this is really a big hit. Perfectly composed, eyecatching, very effectful the condensation trail. Very good framing indeed.

Hi David,
Nice shot of this aircraft in flight from below and the deep blue of 'space' behind - imo I think the border adds to the image and gives a bit more contrast to what would be negative space, I think it guides your eyes to the image in between....text optional tho but. Nice shot. Best wishes

Hello David

Like the image only a pilot can produce. But those fonts in the frame, have you been watching Jimmy's work to closely!!!!!! he he he. Your image works all the way around. Now it needs to show up on Airliners.com for a post. Excellent

Hi David...beautiful shot...great composition, light and tones...well done.

Hello David,
Great portrait, superb framed and very attractive.
In my modest opinion I would streigten it up using adobe to the horizontal position.
Regards Caesar
