Great PP work on this one . Very original and humoristic . You did a good job on the set up and the lamp gives just enough light to give a scary-dramatic image . Once again creative and well tought . Thanks for sharing your work .

Haha ... great one David! Love your imagination, and the lenghts you've gone to, to get this shot. Very well done. Love the overall darkness in your shot, the dark circles under your eyes :), the few days of growth, your vacant stare at the squirting needle ... it all adds to the over all feel of addiction. Great work.

(I've been carrying my camera with me everywhere, hoping to chance upon something unique to shoot for the addiction theme .. so far haven't found anything .. but I haven't given up yet:)

WOW!! One of your best ever David! You even LOOK addicted! That needle scares me! Excellent posting for the theme! You win! The darkness of the shot adds to the misery you feel! I think this is an addiction you can manage! You can quit anytime you want right? But why? You didn't even shave! hahaha!

I was sure you'd come up with something special! But here, you overtake all my expectations!
WOW! This is a perfect illustration for our addiction at all, on the site! Danger increases with the use!
You had a lot a patience for all steps on this production. This is cleverly done with this heavy atmosphere you created. More than a good photographer, you are an artist!

Hi David,
great set up with a great result for all the thought & work that went into this one,you are addicted,but in a good way.
Though I'm a bit troubled,you are a Pilot right,so how many beers do you knock off a day? I think I'll fly with you:-)
At 1/15 sec how did you get those liquid shots flying out of the needle?

First of all a nice self-portrait showing off your character, humor, lover of beer and the addiction to photography (I'm leaving out the injections which I wish you don't use at all)!
Wonderful light and accurate sharpness.
Great exposure management and a superb creative presentation.
Nice droplets coming out of 'the needle'!

This is GREAT David! Nice to see you! Like you, I've had the addiction since high school (photography, not beer....and I was even a high contrast fan back then)

I like the creative use of the addiction along with all of the elements. Can't think of a think I would change except to convert to black and white (kind of like the old bw films we saw as teens warning us of drugs). Lisa

I thought I would be an addict but I can can see that you need some help my friend - ha,ha,ha.
But as long as you can combine flying the planes and drinking East German Practica lager through the injection needle that is O.K.

I reckon there is something for everyone here, and it will help us all to learn a little more about the people who contribute to the site.
You have taken a lot of time and effort with this shot, testified by the quality of the result. It is entertaining, amusing and very well composed. I love how the decreasing bottles lead to you, the sleep deprived addict!! The illumination on your face is perfect!
I am a littl worried though about all those syringes ...!

Oh dear, I just wish that I had the time but, more importantly, the imagination and the skills to produce a picture such as this.

This is just wonderful - a great idea, wonderfully executed and technically perfect with terrific details, sharpness, colours and lighting. Really stunning.

This is a fantastic composition to the Friday's theme, opened by you, DAvid :)

I like your real feelings for photography and somehow serious expressions :))
The labeling on the bottles is an additional bonus, however, the whole atmosphere is really cool and well thought.

Nice contribution to the theme. It illustrate well your "passion". Good "mise en scène" (setup). Dramtic lighting creates the ambiance. I rather drink the beer instead shooting it in my vein, but it's probably active and rapid your way. Just kidding. Nice work, I like when people make pictures instead of taking pictures. TFS.

This is great! It shows your addiction in just the amount of effort you went through to set up this just one shot (though I'm sure you took a couple extras so you'd have a choice). Super original and wonderfully funny - and technically about as perfect as it can be!

This is a gorgeous idea, apparently we have the same addiction, OK you started with a Praktika, my first camera was a Zenith. Anyway this is a perfect composition well executed with perfect light. Like the droplets from the syringe, your eyes, your look is even frightening :-)
