Uilleann pipes(island pipes),traditional irish pipes similar to the bag pipes but give a much sweeter haunting sound, instead of blowing its used as a bellows between the body and elbow to create the sound.

Hi Jimmy,
Very nice portrait of this Piper and a usefull note..
well saturated colors in picture and good framing..

What a great shot, James.
The piper is sharply focussed, showing all the details that you associate with 'country' musicians.
A nicely angled shot helps to lead the viewer across the frame, where the audience of World Cup footballers, makes a nice touch.
Pity you've lost the tip of his foot!

Have a good day,
Bev :-)

Hi James,
A very interesting character holding these traditional Irish pipes.
A good contribution to the Theme 'Music'.
A portrait with so many significant highlights, especially the bizarre beard. Striking blue eyes and a candid pose from the street musician.
Well done,

Francis Xavier

Hi James,
Great shot nicely positioned, in addition to Bev's tip of the foot comment I think the end of the pipes could have been included too but that is only mo. Excellent tones and light in this shot and a great character portrait. Best wishes

Boa noite james
In a theme about music it was a lost not to have a photo to the musical Ireland. Well composed, attractive PIPES. A interesting portrait.
Thanks for sharing and play.
