The Place: the Canadian Formula One Grand Prix at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal.

Historic Grand Prix Race, the Ferrari 312T-5 of late Gilles Villeneuve is driven by Bud Moeller. The illusion is remarkable as he is wearing Gilles Villeneuve unique helmet.

Here he was negotiating turn 2 or the Senna Curve. Image uncropped.

PS. I am on duty after a long week-end off. I will be posting critqiues and comments soon. Thanks for viewing, and critiques in the meantime.

For racing shots , indeed center spot focus is a must when you want to shoot lonely cars. I used the center spot most of the time , but also played off centering it for an off-centered composition.

Hi Robert,
This is a colorful, very sharp, well focused photo of an exciting moment.

Looks like you and Mario had a good time :) As in his photo, you captured this at a great moment ... nice clarity, sharpness and detail. Must have been an exciting day!

Clear and sharp, excellent capture Robert..

HI Robert...nice job panning on this shot. your details are excellent. I have played with shots like this very unsuccessfully so I am impressed. You did a great job.

This is a great action shot, sharp, detailed and with that red/white striped line creating fine perspective.
What is amazing is that you achieved this so well when your heart must have been pumping with excitement, as it does at such times!

Have a good day,
Bev :-)
