[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Every so often I'll post a photo that is strictly targeted for composition, rather than perfection. This weekend I rode my bike over 100 miles. Friday I rode in a charity event for the Houston Police Department and I pulled up after the ride, around midnight and people were milling around, some moving, some not. I took this shot as the flood lights were shining on everyone.
I had a whirlwind weekend consisting of three rides (100+ miles)....2 birthday parties, one dancing until 2AM....and a trip to the beach. I am very tired, but had a great summer blow out.

Wonderful scenario ...I like so much these long shadows in the cgood composition. Great visual effect and delicious moment. Your powerful note about energy of life is touchful-

Nice moody shot here... everyone just chatting after the ride. I really like the lighting and its effect on the long shadows. Also, interesting how you have a "band of bikers" across the photo. I'm sure the color version would set an entirely different mood. In black and white, no one stands out, so they are all of equal footing... :) Lisa

I'm getting into biking and this pic reminds me to take snaps of people at the end of the rides. I like the B&W. It catches the emotion some how. I just looked and that's the theme you put it in. So, I think we seee the same thing in the photo. The shadows are add some drama.
