Dear All,

Today I am presenting a picture which I took on a cold evening when the golden sunlight was kissing the nearly white to pale facade of Museum Fridericianum, located in the heart of the German city of Kassel.

The building located on the right side of the Museum Fridericianum, is called as "Museum Ottoneum".

I hope you enjoy the mood in the shot.

Thanks and regards,

- Museum Fridericianum

Museum Fridericianum in the German city of Kassel, is built in 1779, is Europe's first public museum, named the Museum Fridericianum after its founder. By the end of the 19th century the museum held one of the largest collections in the world of watches and clocks.

The natural history collection in the Ottoneum has a long tradition as it was one of the first to be established in all of Europe, and is definitely the oldest in Hesse.

- Museum Ottoneum

The Ottoneum was built in 1604-1607 by Wilhelm Vernukken under Landgrave Moritz (reg. 1592-1627) as the first solid theater building on the European continent.

With the beginning of the 30 Years' War the residence's early heyday as a cultural center came to an end, and the Ottoneum was put to other uses. It was not until the year 1696, when Landgrave Karl, an important supporter of the arts in Kassel, commissioned Master Builder Paul du Ry to redesign and to renovate the building as an art gallery to contain the Landgrave's collection of paintings and rarities and the biological and astronomical collection.

Hello Paras,

This is a very good photography of Museum Fridericianum and beautiful old architecture.
Excellent sharpness and nice light and colors tones.
I think the photography is tilted slightly to the left... but nice work.

Hi Paras,
Very good light on this dominant buiding of the Museum Ottoneum!
A very attractive shot making use of the golden hour, in late evening.
Very sharp presentation. I like the darker FG which leads you to the highlighted architectural structure.
Very fine details.
Well done,

Francis Xavier

Hi Paras,
Splendid light to display this beautiful architecture in brilliant detail, I think I would have cut a little more off the shadow path at the bottom and had more of a panoramic but that is just my choice. Excellent shot with great colours. Best wishes

Hi Paras,
A lovely warm lighting on this beautiful Museum Fridericianum, the exposure on the building is fine while you left the FG with too much of space,I did a quick WS I hope you like it besides if you could capture this beauty from 360 angle and didn't include the annexe building on the right corner and the POV would have been from front would have another impact, but the lighting is beautiful falling naturally on the building which produced good details.

Best Wishes

Hello Paras,

A great change from your recent shots, but one which is equally beautiful for sharp focus and excellent composition of thirds.
The warm low sun has made the facade golden, in contrast to the deeply shadowed gardens.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Quel cadrage, avec le premier plan très graphique dans le jeu d'ombre, et cette lumière sur l'édiffice, la doucueur des tons, le contraste de plans est parfait.

merci et amitié

Hi Paras
This museum has fantastic architecture. It's a piece of art in it's self. Your composition is good and well balanced. The colours are nice and soft with very sharp detail. I'm sure it's a fun place to visit.

dear Paras,
still and settled atmosphere is very fine,
and classic style building itself has beautiful dignity, and this light and composition show us that picturesque essence well,
the building has its face quite like human, and this face looks watching distant sun...
thank you for your wonderful shot,
