Rails Through Vales
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|There are railroad tracks that run along the banks of each of Pittsburgh's three rivers. In the industrial age, rail cars moved coal and raw materials for steel-making up and down the rivers to the steel mills that were the identity of the city throughout most of the century. This set of rails runs along the Allegheny River and follows the rivers undulating curves. |
The POV for this shot was looking into the late day sun, which seemed to illuminate the surface of the rails. Virtually no PP work was done.

Ah, this looks familiar too:)
Great shot Sandy ... the lead-in with the rails and the way you've caught the sun shining on them, is just fantastic. Nice sharp focus on the two Cats, the nearby rails, and the bushes on the right ... makes me feel as though I was standing right there.
Very well done.
Hi Sandy ,
One beautiful chosen POV,here the low POV makes this rail track well illuminated creating some artistic pattern in FG,the shallow depth plus the dramatic lighting condition and a little hazy weather looks beautiful too, well captured and nice different shot.

comme deux perpent en parallèle, mangigique el rendu et le brillant sur ces voies, le flou en premier plan, plus on avance plus cela devient net, avec ce contre-jour, très belle gestions des lumirèes.
merci et amitié
Boa noite sandy
Your graphism catch works so well...Good focus, light and B/w worK, I love the rails and the way they look and lead us in the composition.
