I guess it depends on your age and perspective. To me the path now seems short, but I need to stop and rest more often.

This bench is at the beginning of one of the marked trails at the Marshy Point Nature Center. To me these outdoor furnishings are both unique and interesting. I like the way the perspective makes the trees appear so close to one another. Since there was little color yet, I decided this would look better in B&W. If you notice the ribbons on the first tree, that is the way the trails are marked. Different colors for different trails.

PP: Shot in RAW, converted to B&W using the channel mixer, USM, contrast

Thanks for viewing and have a good day!

HI Werner, this image in b/w was a very good idea of you. There is much mood in it, and I like your POV. So, let´s have a rest now on this inviting bench.
Regards Rose

Hello Werner,

Great black and white composition! I love the POV and I like the bench in the foreground. The photo shows nice depth and good lightness and shadows.

Well done!

Hello Werner,
A symbolic B&W composition of this artistic presentation, very well captured with a special mood, the trees gives an art work look to this beautiful framing and wonderful image, good placement of the bench against the leading unfinished path...well done my friend.
Best Regards

Hi Werner,

As has already been said the use of black and white in this photo are what makes it a great shot. The pov allows you a nice glimpse of where the path leads the shades and tones are excellent and the dof is good the details sharp.

Hi Werner,
I love the depth and tones in this one, nice PoV with the bench being well placed and good focal point. Best wishes

Hi Werner..nice tones and details...excellent black and white shot.

Hey Werner!

I'm thinkin' this must be what heaven looks like. :) I knew I was getting old when I started commenting on dirt, "Man, that's some good lookin' dirt!" :))

Of course I like the B&W, and the detail is awesome too! Excellent POV!

Yes, no green buds here yet, but some red ones. I'd like to take off Friday, and go to a state park. It's supposed to be 80 here Friday. It's calling me...loudly. :)

Thanks for sharing this buddy!

Hello dear Werner!

Splendid shot with beautiful tones and great contrasts of the B&W. Nice light and exposure and beautiful placement of the bench in frame. Simple and elegant frame here that fits the POV.

TFS, indeed a nice composition.
