Colours of Swakopmund

Swakopmund is one of the larger cities in Namibia. In this city you will find the German influence on every street corner, like these colorful house. It was a perspective nightmare, but well worthy to give it a try for TL.

Your opinion please.....

PP work, shot in Raw, converted to jpeg and adjusted levels and curves. Used perspective crop to try to level the horizontal and vertical lines (did I succeed?). Resized and sharpened, add frame.

The clarity here is marvelous Hans! Very vibrant! Super blue skies, F16 worked very well for you here. I love the little cross on the roof. B-)

Hello Hans,
It is effectively a surprise ! These colors are so "scandinavians" ! I like your choice of the POV for a strong perspective with the rythm of the succession of colors.
Kind regards
Jean

It seemed to be mostly foggy and freezing cold when we were there Hans, only got a few hours sun in four days in Swakopmund - but as you say a fascinating germanic town. You've got the colours really nicely here, can see you've had fun with the perspective tool too but it looks great..

Nice shot from the weirdest town in Africa...

The sandboarding was great fun - and would you believe it we've never done it in seven years in Dubai... Doh....

Very nice - the clean colours and tones and the simple composition works for me here - and the angular challenges of verticals, horizontals, and perspectives all seem natural and well aligned, so I guess you've done your job well.
It would be interesting to see the unedited original (in WS maybe?) to know how much it had to be changed!

Bonjour Hans

To be hounest I see some more british colonial style here like in the hillstations in Malaysia or India, specialy the roofs.
The quality of the picture and saturation is good, thes kind of settings is a nightmare to get into balance.
