[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Walking the streets of New York City at night last autumn, I tried to capture the effects created by the way some of the buildings were lighted. The corner of the top level of the this building caught my eye with the pattern of the architecture lighted from below. I took this hand-held; the IS feature on my lens was very helpful. I sharpened, cropped and converted to b&w.

Hi, Sandy. Lovely and the format of B&W suits this very well. Good composition, architectural texture and lines look fabulous and lighting effects from below came out very well. Cheers and TFS.

Bom dia Sandy
For me it is really great to see NY in black and white and in a very good one. Great perspective and powerful lines. Your noturne is a dream..you are excellent.
Have a good We dear Sandy.
Um abraço

Hello Sandy! Very interesting facade, very interesting architecture. Good composition. Perfect exposure. Ideal contrast. Original BW work. Well done!

A switch of subject and medium here , you are quite unpredictable Sandy , well the better , the squat building so it appears to me reveals a lot to a viewer like me , its architecture is of the finest , outstanding to say the least, turrets , shape of the windows , stonework , angles , forms and lines all appeal to make it look grand , your exposure of the scene is quite good , the light coming from the windows is generally well controlled , the one in the bottom corner is a tad strong , that has me thinking why , nonetheless the top part is wonderfully highlighted to perfection i'd say , once more a good job from you , shooting building has become routine for you , thanks for sharing ,

Hi Sandy..nice shot...great shapness and details ...well done.

The upper ramparts of New York's highrises are a fascination - magnificent buildings like the Woolworth Building, ESB and Chrysler building are fantastic, but I love the shapes and formation sof this one too - and the way it's spotlit.

Nice capture, I wonder if a tighter crop, drawing us in more towards some of the detail, might improve this?

(sorry, just used up my smilies!)

dear Sandy,
a fantastic B&W picture of the summit,
lighted wall and windows look like one crown of it,
the design is classical and the idea of lighting fits its figure well,
thank you for your excellent shot,
