[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This picture is taken in the Green Ram Temple of Chengdu. Now you wonder what the woman is doing? She is just saying thank you to a friend of mine who took a picture of her. A fun thing to know is that plenty of old Chinese people think that it still is very expensive to take a picture, just like in the old days. My wife's grandma is one of these women but then she is old and has been through some revolutions... except the digital one.

nice capture here david! i made a workshop for your portrait hope you like it!!!

Namaste and thank you to this kind woman.

The black frame is too black and it's not really good to close a photo.

I think there's some noise in your shot, not a good sharpness
I've seen better from you
Sorry, but I do honest criticism

I have to disagree with daisy! I really like the frame - anything subtler in tone or colour would not set off the colours of the clothing the way the black does.
superb off-centre composition, wonderful perspective and thanks too for the foreground, which gives context to the lady.
What a lovely gentle smile she has!

Very nice mood in this picture. Simplicity, kindness,... A very expressive portrait. Nice colours and light !
Best regards

TFS David, thank you ;o).
She is probably thinking "this picture will give that guy lots of points on tl" ;o).
A nice documentary type of portrait, with an excellent composition. Exposure is great and sharpness on her very expressive face is spot on. The only thing I don't like about this post is the black frame, however small you kept it... but the photo is just about perfect.
