Good Morning Everyone,

Something a little different, this morning.
Perhaps you will be able to see me from a different perspective!

This is part of a sculpture, on display, in Burlington House courtyard. The sculpture is the work of Anish Kapoor.

'The Royal Academy of Arts presents
a major solo exhibition of the work
of the internationally acclaimed artist
Anish Kapoor, winner of the 1991 Turner
Prize and one of the most influential
and pioneering sculptors of his generation.'

We stumbled on the exhibition quite by accident. Unfortunately, we did not tour the whole exhibition as there was a long queue, waiting for entry, and on a weekend-break, there is no time for queuing!

I isolated the b/g, behind the sculpture, with the lasso and added a blue filter, just to separate it. Without that distinction, it was quite difficult to make sense of the scene because of the distortions. I used unsharp mask and then added a metalic border to match the materials of the sculpture.

Thank you for stopping by.
Please feel free to feedback on any aspect of the photograph. Bev :-)

Hi Beverley,

Good the see you, amazing refelection and wonderfull shot.
Very good sharpness and good contrast.
A masterpiece of composition, congratulation.
Have a good day.

The reflections are just wonderful Bev... and I must say that the raindrops add a little bit extra! In fact it's nice to see some picture taken in not such fine weather! We just don't always have sunshine, so all in all this is very natural.
Wonderful perspective and colors... I just keep looking at the balls and at the different reflections in them... COOL!!!

Nice shot and good ppwork, Beverley.I like these sorts of modern sculptures and you in the "mirrors" makes me think of
Kind regards

Amazing perspective captured here and the image oozes class and originality! Love the PP work and wonderful accompanying note! TFS!

Nice Bev ... good to see you (in a few places:)
Nicely composed and exposed shot ... I like this kind of reflective shot. I might have cropped a little more off the left side .. and maybe top too. Still. . a great shot.
Have a nice day

Hi Bev :))

Wow, what a great capture with such a wonderful perspective! I like the bit deformed mirror reflections in these carbon balls...acting great as perfect reflectors.
The colors are perfectly shown and the sharpness is at its best. An informative note indeed! Very well done!

best regards,

Really nice work Bev! HA! A self-portrait here! Clarity is super nice, I love the effect Chrome has!

Hello Beverley, these sculptures by Anish Kapoor are a gift for photographers with the polished surfaces presenting all kinds of possibilities.
I remember seeing one of his works at Chatsworth House a year or two ago.
I think that you have done an excellent job of presenting this shot. There is a lot to take in,the variety of reflections is fabulous.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Hi Bev,
Yes, a marvelous idea to capture this particular perspective through this 'mirror' sculpture!
Nice clear reflections!
I like it very much, but I would have eliminated totally the visible building on the left by moving myself to the right or zoom more the lens.
Nice creative work!

Very eyecatching and I like the triple-self-portrait element in this - it has a 'Where's Wally' kind of appeal to it. Terrific effect and a great photo opportunity not wasted in the slightest!

Hello Beverley.
Cool idea! Composition and color management are excellent. I must try it one day. Thanks for the idea.Best regards siegfried
