under an umbrella
o bom B&W sempre perfeito nestas situações cinzas.
De muito bom gosto e bem composto!
Boa tarde Teresa,
The glimpse and semi-silhouette of the person holding the umbrella adds greatly to the mood. I do like how you incorporated some yellow tints in the sky providing just a bit of color in this well thought composition. There are some good ornate details in the bridge. 'Tis another soulful posting. My best regards dear...
Ciao Teresa, fascinating B&W composition with wonderful silhouette, very well done, ciao Silvio

Minimalistic capture perfectly created moody atmosphere...as usual
Great composition in black in white, excellent Point of view and details, nice perpective and sharpness, he lovely presentation..
Well spotted and presented.
Good to see that you have a good memories from Prague.
All the pictures are great proofs for that.

Wonderful moody image, very well composed, with a great capture of the wall, a very beautiful angle made by the umbrella, and a very pleasant and arty monochrome presentation with a very good and rich grey scale.
Great work again, mb
Interesting shot Teresat.
I think the composition would be much more powerful if the subject was further to the left within the Golden Zone of the frame.
Thank you for NOT keeping the umbrella in colour! :)
are you sure you were in the same Prague as Jose'? =)
first the lonely little girl, now the lonely woman - why do I always have the impression that women tend to realize more than men the fundamental loneliness of life?
I like the strong contrast between light and shadow, her nose and that tiny fluff of hair visible under the umbrella.
maybe a shift to the left would have distributed the space better, as Rew says. but ultimately is the light that makes this photo special.
Grande Teresa!

I like the warm sepia tone & minimalist composition here. Good sharpness & tonal range. The umbrella & obscured pedestrain holding it make a good focal point. Tfs, & have a nice weekend!

Brilliant! I love the feel of this simple composition - the umbrella is pulled down tight over her head and she is hunched in the wet evening. Fantastic tones. You really know how to convey emotions in your photos, Teresa. Well done!

I am always attracted to the mood in your
photos, So deep, so expressive, emotional
Whether through the colors, or lighting, or the
Subject like here for example… the mood and
The woman with the umbrella against the yellowish
tone and even the fine texture on the wall, it
attracts my eyes strongly, as if living that moment
in Prague…lots of emotions in this shot and great effect
to add more to it…
best regards always my friend..

this one looks very isolated and gloomy. As for the rain it actually brings life.
Well shown details of the bridge. Nice coarse texture too.

Bom dia my dear Teresa,
*we live as we dream - alone* excellent choice of words for this image. No matter how many people we have around us, no matter what we do...we go through life alone. Nobody can make our decisions, nobody can dream our dreams, nobody can feel our feelings (and fears)...nobody but us. We are never alone in physical way, but we are alone in our mortality and our...'inner world'.
Wonderful moody atmosphere and great choice of B/W for this image. If there is one thing that I can say about this shot is...this is definitely an image with SOUL.
Um grande abraço,

Great composition with a very interesting light....great work.
An interesting shot Teresa, not your usual brilliance. I wish the girl was larger in the frame, more off center. But there is lots of mood here, and the viewer is left to decide what she is doing! I like that!

Good perspective and interesting positioning, probably it's a bit tilted, but never mind, still great shot. The mood of the photo is relly lovable, well captured still moment of a big city. Technically great as always, TFS!
The grace and calm of the last hours of the day with which midnight simply can't compete...
I wake up, my mind is refreshed, a coffee is what I need, and when I turn back I see unread books staring at me..and I feel many of my assignments in this world waiting for my smiles...
Reflections of the day passes off, I love the stillness of the last hours.. and then I wake up in the first hours of the day to see me still holding the umbrella wet in rain, in my armchair..
This is what I feel now, Teresa.
You ignite minds with power..
Take care, live life :)

Ola Teresat! Very original, but minimal composition. Good capture. Mysterious effect. Saude!
Do You know? English writer Joseph Conrad was born in Poland like Jozef Konrad Korzeniowski?
Boa tarde teresa,
It's instant like this that makes picture taking interesting , in a way rain is not fun all the time but hey look at what you captured here , this is pure simplicity in composition : a bridge, a woman, an umbrella and a BG suitable for a scene like this , there you go , a rainy day in Prague , right Teresat as you say Prague is a city like others , with its fair amount of rain and sun and its people going about their daily lives as well , yet it's beautiful , hope you enjoyed your visit! Good one,

A minimalistic approach where you beautifully add artistic touch to this simple hence appealing shot, dear Teresa!
I like the light where it should be, and the focus is good as well.
The sepia tones worked well to show the amazing mood in the scene.
Well caught drama into the work too.
A well suited note also enhance the overall charm of the picture!
