Hi Richard:
Welcome to TL. A very nice job. I love the painterly effect and I think the composition is just great. Next time please leave a note so we will know how you accomplished.

normally, i don't care for the drawing effects - but this is fantastic. you did an excellent job. the fade from b&w to color is what i really love about this. your processing leads my eye through the photo very naturally!

Looking at the finished product it's difficult to believe that this started as very good photograph. Your post processing work has worked extremely well. The colour of the church really draw attention to it, and the 'incomplete' portion simply effectively puts the subject in context.

Belle photo artistique! Bienvenue a TL! Michel
this is like a painting...just great..just love it...
Wonderfull picture and I don't know why!
Extraordinaire, ce traitement artistique!!
Bravo!!!

Very good post processing work Richard. It truly does look like an unfinished painting. The photo itself is nicely composed.

Great "unfinished artwork" Richard, I do like the effect. The shot itself is well composed with good POV and DOF. TFS, Paul.

Bonjour Richard.

This technique is perfect for achieving the effect you were after, Richard. This is a lovely composition to start with and this 'unfinished drawing' PP really makes the picture. Thanks for giving us so much detail on the technique.
Really great, art work. Looks like a 18th century reproduction, perfect visual effects.
Very well done.

Hi richard!

Great techneque, Richard. I tried it with perhaps less spectacular results, but good nonetheless. There are several other shots that come to mind that might benefit. Thanks for sharing your method.

Very kind that you explain your technique in your note. It is difficult for me to follow it, because I have a Spanish version of Photoshop but you opened my eyes to a new challenge. Thank you.
The results of what you did are nice. It looks more like a drawing than like a photo. I like those drawings that look as if the painter had not finished the work.

Hello Richard! this is the first time I visited your gallery, so browsed around. I am impressed at your work, specially this one. The unfinished art work feel is what I like about it and I will definitely try one. You also have a very nice portrait of a pretty woman in "Basia 2".

Yes I really like this. Looks like a village of the Netherlands. The beauty is to start as a drawing and end as a photo. I must say very creative work TFS
