[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I really hate to fill in China as the country name and Tibet as state

Tuesday 10 March Tibetans and sympathizers against the Chinese dominance protest. Is it than 50 years ago that thousands of persons in Lhase stood up against the suppression, who very hard was knocked down. In 2007 I visited Tibet and I was able to feel the hard suppression.
This foto must show how the people must feel after 50 years.
Please visit my free Tibet site. It is in Dutch but the photos will tell the story in your language

Very touching portrait!
I would like to know what this old lady was 50 years ago! What are the dreams who she had, where they are gone?
Powerful image! Annie

Hi Ruud:

Amazing portrait.
Beautiful colors, fine details and excellent focus.
Very nice composition.

Great portrait,
I've read the message you wrote and I wanted to tell you that I lived in country that marginalized religion and never openly prohibited it but priests and believers were 2. class citizens... Then communism collapsed and nationalism started, the rest of the sad story with Serbs, Bosnian ans Croatians you know :(
Well, China is country bigger then whole Europe and not only Chinese people live there, to keep that system government will do everything necessary. Every separation based on religion is stupid and ugly.
Just wanted to say that it is not so black and white!

Very good portrait.

Hello Ruud,

Great portrait, a picture is worth a thousand words. Congratulations!

such a beautiful face ... those wrinkles, this pose. The colors are beautiful also.
Thanks for sharing this note and the link also. What a disaster for the country and all the people there. Destroyed by this totalitarian China. What a mess ...

amazing... well done mate!

your photography is really moving. But it is your writing that is phenomenal. Really beautiful spirit in both mediums shines through. Thanks for sharing.
