[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken at the Natural History Museum, London. The inside of the building is like a cathedral, the level of detail in the stone work is amazing.

Every time I visit, I am struck by how the staircases could be taken straight from an M C Escher print: http://www.santarosa.edu/~mmcginni/myart/invention/superplexus/escher/RelativityESCHER-410px.jpg

I also tried the image in B&W - am posting to workshop. Not sure which one worked best...

HI Cerys

I can attest to this building being impressive and cathedral-like, having visited this museum several times in my lifetime.

I really like your POV, makes for an interesting and enjoyable perspective. Good sharpness of detail and good saturation. Awesome!

Best wishes,
Martyn

Hi Cerys,

Very nice composition, the soft lights and colors is very appealing to me with beautiful perspective. Well captured.

A very good pov ; nice colours and sharpness.Maybe I should think less of M C Escher than of Piranese
A fabulous architecture and a very good shot.

Hi Cerys,

Although the b&w has some great features about it I prefer this brilliant colour shot which shows the many arches that in view. The stone has a lovely rich colour to it and you have captured the details really well. The fact that you shot this without any flash and an ISO rating of 1600 leaves me breathless so very well done.

Jon

Cerys:

Congratulations

Hello Cerys!

Excellent photograph!! IT has a very modern but also at the same time a very abstract feel. I can see where this photo reminds you of a work of Escher but you have done a great job making it original!

Nice work!
best regards,
Christian

Nice architectural shot - I can see the Escher influence (and it also reminds me of a backdrop from the Harry Potter films). The POV you've chosen accentuates the range of details in the building: columns, curves and straight lines all jumbled together. Well spotted and well taken.
Thanks for sharing
Mark

Olá, Cerys!

Great job, friend! Congratulations!

I like both images, though the B&W, IMHO , shows off the details better. I like your POV & all the different hues & colours you captured,Strong & detailed composition Cerys.
