Flower Carpet Appleblossom

Ive had this ground cover rose in my garden for over 12 years now and every year it flowers these attractive long-lasting pure light pink blossoms continuously throughout the spring to autumn season.

The blossoms retain their colours upon aging and the petals drop off cleanly as the blossoms mature.

They have a compact, spreading and overhanging growth habit that looks good as ground cover in the garden.

The foliage is glossy and contrasts well with the pure light pink blossoms. It propagates well from cuttings and by grafting.

Ive never had trouble with blackspot, mildew, and rust.

As the flowers die off I get the secatears out and chop the branch off and very soon another bouquet of roses appear.

Each winter I use the hedge clippers and chop the branches back right close to the ground and come spring here they are blooming again. . .

Please dont tell Hans or Silke that I used a n*k*n camera to take this photo

JJJJJJanice, this is tantamount to an act of tr**s*n.
Begrudgingly, I have to admit, not a bad lens.
Seriously though, you handled the harsh lighting very well, nice colours.
PS, you realise of course, you'll never live this down. And that is from both camps ;)

Hi Janice,
I think that the secret of longevity of your roses is your work with clippers each winter and a lot of love for them!
Your photo testifies of your cares.
Excellent close-up on the blurred BG. I like the good mix of acuity and softness in the same time. Bravo!

wow perfect pic Jannice..
Very beautiful soft color with perfect light and shadow..
and a very useful note ... not only for photography its also useful for gardening..

Beautiful capture Janice of a flawless Rose, I just came back from walk in the Palmy Gardens, flowers are out in full

Hi Janice,

Yes this one stands out. Even from the thumbnail! You must have used "state of the art equipment"! It's an explosion of pink although to be honest I have the impression the picture isn't 100% in focus. For some reason the right and lower side of the flower appears a bit blurred to me (can't be the camera!). Anyway It's wonderful to see such anice picture from spring while it's fall in Europe.
Fine shot my dear!

Hello Janice! Wonderful flower. Amazing sharpness. Very good saturation. Perfect capture. Good luck!

Hello Janice,
Beautiful soft colours in these roses! Lovely composition and lighting, the softness of the rose is excellent and I really like the dark background accentuating the image. Best regards

Hi Janice,

Superb rose! Excellent color and detail. Nice blurred BG. I wish that BG piece on the right wasn't there, but you probably couldn't do much about it. Nice choice of camera and lens. I'm using a D70 and a D300. TFS.

Merhaba Janice, nefis bir gl fotoğrafı,kadraj ve derinlik ok gzel, renkler ve artalan ok hoş,ellerine sağlık :)

Hi Janice

Very nice capture of this flower, beautiful colours.
The focus seems just a little soft, looks like the focus is more on the back left petals.

Regards Derek

Hello Janice,

Don't be ashamed!
Only the best photographers use NIKONS. I'll say that again NIKON!
I love this shot, so large and close-up.
The detailed texture of the petals is in sharp focus and contrasts well with the blurred b/g.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)
