Vizille is a commune of the Isère département in France.

The village of Vizille is home to the Musée de la Révolution Française, a rich depository of archival and rare materials devoted to the French Revolution, housed since 1984 in the Château de Vizille, a Monument Historique. The library stacks are accessible to researchers (by appointment). The Museum grounds feature extensive landscaping and formal gardens.

The Château, the grandest in the [[Dauphiné, was rebuilt in the form it retains today in the seventeenth century by François de Bonne, duc de Lesdiguières, the last connétable of France. A hundred hectares of greens, sheets of water and canals, and a hunting park of woodland pierced by rides and avenues surround the château, enclosed by a wall seven kilometers in circumference. The grounds are maintained by the Conseil général de l'Isère.

The site is especially suitable for its museum because, when the château had been purchased by a wealthy bourgeois of Grenoble, Claude Perier, who installed a manufacture of printed fabrics in it, the three estates of the realm, convoked in Grenoble as the Assemblée des notables but forbidden to meet in the city, were welcomed here, 21 July 1788. They met in the salle du jeu de paume, where their deliberations opened a new chapter in the history of France

Hello Daniele,

what a shame I did not visit this castle when I was in the region a few years ago...
You had a very good POV with the water and the ducks in front of the building and I like the soft colors.

Ciao Lele!
Nice lightness, very nice delicate colors. Good POV. Wonderful architecture. Original shot.

Hi Daniele

A real posrcard shot with the ducks in the fg adding to the compo nicely. Good colour, lighting & sharpness. Excellent backlighting, & good shadow detail on the castles facade. Tfs!

Hello Daniele,
Lovely shot of this castle and a very good POV.
Warm colours and good detail.
Unfortunate the tops of the towers are cut off.
The water and geese in the FG add a nice touch.
Informative notes.

Hello Daniele,
A wonderful picture of a wonderful castle!
I like the colors and the light in this photo.
The pov and the composition are very good.

TFS and greetings from Netherland,

Well composed Daniele. Hans mentions tower tops which I can see but a pity there wasn't enough elevation from where you took the image to allow more room there and have no bright sky. Good colour and detail in the image though and the focus on the foreground nicely done,

Ciao Lele, ottima composizione con un bellissimo castello, bella atmosfera piena di pace, bravo, ciao Silvio

Perfect and beautiful shot my friend

Bonjour Danielle

Hi Daniele,
What a superb composition vith excellent POV, colours and light.TFS.

Hello Daniele!
Excellent landscape village!
Very like compo and colours!

What an impressive building this is Lele. Museum of the French Revolution - I think to visit there would interest me very much.
What a pretty scene, especially with the geese and lake on show.
Well done

Hi Daniele
Beautiful architecture of the chateau looking very grandiose in its somewhat misty surroundings.
Naturally our candian geese had to get into the photo but I think its a good addition to this well composed shot.

Olá, Daniele!

Belíssima composição e ótimo enquadramento. A luminosidade está muito boa e as cores estão belas. Ótima apresentação. Parabéns!
