[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The waitresses working at one of the small restaurants in Covent Garden seemed to favor this place for their cigarette breaks. An unusually elegant way to sit on the pavement, isn't it?

Nicely spotted!
I wish the cigarette was sharp.

Hi Roland,
I think it is a great shot.
I like the red shoes and I'm agree with you on that she's very elegant on the unusually way to sit.
Well done.
Luca

Interesting voyeuristic type shot. It's well composed - and certainly calls to be stared at for a while with that pose.
Cheers,
DAve

Okay, I'm confused:) Are there extra legs there besides the ones with the red shoes?! Oops...looks like she left the price tag on the bottom of the shoe on the left. Of course, who'd ever be thinking that some photographer might catch a shot of that when you weren't looking...hehe. I wish the shoes were clearer, not the cigarette. I'm having way too much fun examining this shot:) Good catch!

Hi Roly! ;)
First of all, let me say that your shot is more than a daily life instant, it has something of a "stolen" look, almost as if you invaded somebody's privacy for a moment... I like very much the low angle of shot, and the focus on the girl itself - watching her makes me feel accomplice to your shot, and invading her moment. I am a smoker myself so I can easily relate to this shot. The cigarette and shoes out of focus don't bother me that much, as your shot is successful in surpassing the barren stillness and coldness of a technical, "perfect" instant.
Compliments and best regards,
Diana
