[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note

When I shoot a mushroom (puffball, toadstool etc.) scene, I'm often in a dilemma "where to upload". Mostly to TrekNature, but sometimes I think the members of TrekLens also deserve to enjoy my fungi art. :) Seriously: why not to here if allowed?

The fungus You see here is Lycoperdon perlatum, a very common puffball specie on the Northern hemisphere (and maybe worldwide, too. Shame on me, I'm not sure).

One of the first real test shots with my new Panasonic DMC FZ-50 ('real test shots' for me = in the nature). Photographed in the Bükk mountains, a few kilometers from Répáshuta village. Little color correction (less green), selective sharpening, framing, signing, re-sizing. I hope You like it.

Hi Laszlo,

A perfect picture you made of this mushroom. I have only been thinking of taking my camera in the woods, but luckily you shoot a puffball (like that name).
The moss, the rotting wood of an old tree trunk, the mysterious light - all in all a lovely picture to enjoy.

Hello Laszlo,
Same problem with me ... fungi to TN or TL
(mine came here today too :)
This is a nicely composed shot with good detail.
I think, rather than have it very bright on top,I would have focussed higher and had clearer detail on top and a bit more shade at the bottom.
Your way is nice too :)
Thats just how I would have done it.
Nice work though.

Hi Laszlo,
Very nice composition and colors. Marvellous details and DOF of the mushroom.

Hi Laszlo,
You did a good job in color and exposure. Also the DOF is choosen well. The camera succeeded in this test, I think.
The camera-man too did a good job in composition, framing .... and in the choice to upload it to TL. :-)
p.s.: I'm looking at this camera too; is it good enough to be recommended?

Fú, ez több mint kiváló! Tökéletes az expozíció, a színek és a kompozíció is. Minden elismerésem!

Hello Lazlo!

Sorry for my late visit . Glad to see you active again. Note you were not alone to take a break (^_^).

You nailed this one with razor sharp details. The contrasts and details of the mushroom are spot on.

Very inviting to eat too. That being said , I have no idea if it is comestible.

Wow, Laszlo! This is so beautiful. I love the detail and colours, with such exceptional light. The textures here are perfect. Beautiful, simple and elegant. Excellent.

Hi again Laszlo,
A great macro capture of this natural beauty with fine details and sharpness. Great DOF/POV and nice composition.
TFS and cheers,

Hi László ,

Very good framing of this unique looking mushroom. I like the sharp details against the pleasing green area, Nice shallow focus and thanks for sharing.

Amazing capture from this artistic wild mushroom, Laszlo!
Great focus and perfect contrast between the white mushroom and the lush green BG.
I like the way you have chosen to place the subject within a black frame.
The sharpness and DOF are well done.
Good job!

Happy Easter!

Thanks and regards,

Excellent shot my friend, and thank you.
