Just in time to catch the sunset with the windmills in Pagudpud :)

It was a 3-hr drive from Gil's beautiful beach property, after arriving from an 8-hr night trip :)

The 3-hr drive here turned into a 7-hr hassle because of a minor road accident, involving a call to my father, my half sister, a general, and a colonel, to free us from the police station, just to see this view :)

Not much time on TL, more time on traveling and site seeing :) A bit tilted but who cares? :)

hi Freddie

By using the windmill as silhouette feature has given you a good pov and composition here to catch the sunset colors. Good work.

TFS, bill

Hello Fred,

After all your troubles, this calm sunset would do a lot to soothe your nerves.

I do like this. Even though we know that the windmills move, this shot is an epitomy of calm and stillness. The warm evening colours help to create this feeling. Good presentation.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

HI Freddie
What an ordeal, must have been somewhat scary. Good thing you had contacts.
You horizon looks straight to me. The mills look great as silhouettes against those clouds.
Beautiful shot.
Dot

Hi Fred,
A great composition in respect of the thirds for a wonderful sunset. Rich colors, good perspective and very good management of backlit.
In my touristic area, the eolian industry is a new activity. The people couldn't accept that the companies instal the windmill so close of the sea! They want to preserve the natural beauty of their landscapes. But I must admit that the visual impact by night is very nice in your photo! Is it also beautiful during the day?
Very well done! Annie

The picture was certainly worth the effort. Very atmospheric.

Hi Fred,

Energy of the future, against energy from millions of years. A very moody sunset, Fred. Not the romantic kind, mind you, more the technical kind ☺^☺.
Sublime colours, one nit-pick: the horizon is tilted ccw.
I'll forgive you this time LOL.
