[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Palmyrah Palm (Borassus flabellifer) is a common feature in the dry zones of Sri Lanka mostly in the North (especially Jaffna) and the East. Like the coconut tree, every part of the palmyrah has many uses:jaggery, treacle, fibre, fuel wood, timber handicrafts etc.

hi Subs,
Very nice image. simple, but very effective. The verical format brings out the height of the tree nicely.

Hello Subs. Very nice lone palm against the spotless blue sky. The fg field is in good contrast. Well done and thanks for sharing. Best regards. Jusni

Hi Subs,
I agree with the others: a good composition.
Great colors and exposure too. Funny tree; twice as long as its neighbour.

Hi Suba,
Excellent landscape and colors
Very nice composition indeed
