Nice shot of the boats in dock, I like the way the quay wall comes out of the inner frame and leads the eye into the shot, good colours and details and a wonderful sky.

Good symmetry, between the 2 boats, with a nice warm vs cold color contrast, between the red & blue colours. Excellent sharpness & composition. Tfs!

Your photo reminds me the afternoon when we visited the Scheveningen, almost a year ago. It was sunny, but a strong wind was blowing and I was impressed by the surfers coming from the water wich seems not beying afected by the wind at all.
Very beautiful image with these colorful ships. Excellent POV and interesting frame.
Have a sunny Sunday,
This is a nice "Dutch" view. great how those two coloured vesels are captured, altough I think the overal image can use a tad more brightness and contrast. Anyway a fine presentation (nice frame work) of the port of Scheveningen (did you teach Vandana how to pronounce this? :-)
Excellent posting John.
Endless framing... it would have been a good title, too...! :-)
The workhorses, in italian literally "cavalli da lavoro" it's an intriguing name (I'm interested in etymology...)
I read all your note... It would be marvellous to join: I never visited Canada, so far; my french is better than my english; I sing in a lyric non professional chorus; I know very well napolitan songs and also a quebequoise...
Are there sufficient reasons to plan and join? :-)

Hello Sir John,
The blue and the red and the white hummmm a fantastic combination which represnts warm strength, loyalty and peace (in my perspective). An awesome presention my friend, well done.
Many thanks for sharing this image.

Heerlijk gezicht altijd de schepen even aangemeerd.
Golden memories of that TL meet, John. I've added a couple of shots in the ws too.
I agree with Hans here about the brightness, it looks a bit underexposed. I didn't take these two trawlers, but a sailing ship that was a bit further on, and these 2 shots are a tad underexposed too. Checking further I noticed I used partial metering, and I guess that that is the "problem" with my shots: the sky was rather bright then.
Anyway, is it an issue? Not for me it isn't... as I generally like some underexposure.
I'm not into extensive framing as you know, and I think this one is a bit over the top. Again, not an issue. Compo is good, the colour combination of the two ships is beautiful.

this picture has to do a lot with me, because these visual ones are always in my visions, because of Porto, I see them always,
Beautiful capture and details!
I liked drawings in front of the boats, a beautiful prominence!
AHA Johnny...I remember this :-)
These are herring catching boats. right?
Very nice POV and colors. Good details.
Nice memories from that TL meet and looking for the Montreal TL meet.

My eyesight must be getting low as even though I like what you have done with this colorful shot, I find it just a tad dark, which can be easily fixed. Now are'nt I getting picky?

Superb artwork here to make this shot such a pleasant photo to view. Well composed from this angle to show the boats of colorful sharpness in such nice skylight. The yellow masts are making the view interesting contrast here.

Hello frere Jean, nice dock photo of those fishing boats, very sharp and colourful. Blues and reds are always so nice in a photo.
The Hague is the port of Holland I think?
As for the singing :)) I sing like a scottish cow! hihi!
But I will do my best to sing you a song.
Love the harbor view. Reminds me of my time in Stockholm.
Where did you get the idea from that I could sing? Mind you, I just might have to (sing) for my supper, as long as you go around with the tin cup.....

One of the talents of people who live nearby the sea is creativity of developing vessel . .
These two boats are very powerful . . I experienced to join with similar kind of boats in Indonesia to trawl . . and lots of result with this boat . .
Beautifully composed . . Colorful boats . . kind of tourist boat if seeing from the color . .
I love fishing, and no need to fish when you are with them . .
