Hi everyone!

I am posting a picture of ԾիծեռնակաբերդTsitsernakaberd (translated from Armeniian: the swallow fortress) which is a monument after the 1,500,000 victims of the 1915 Armenian Genocide realized by turks.

Armenians all over the world pay a visit to a monument of Genocide victims or at least a cemetery on 24th of April every year to memorate their perished relatives and homeland.

More than one million persons visits Tsitsernakaberd on April 24th. They bring flowers and pray in front of the everlasting fire.

May your souls stay in eternal peace!

You are welcomed to light a candle for them at:
candle.direct.am.

PP:
1. Added a duplicate layer blended as soft light.
2. Added monochrome noise to the added layer
3. Applied the color pencil filter (pencil width:15, stroke pressure: 8, paper brightness: 25)
4. Added a adj/lyr of Levels (15/1.00/232)
5. Framed
I'll shortly post the original as WS.

Hi Garo !
Excellent shot of a place which commemorates an important event of the history of your country and community, a tragic event that must remain in the memory of each of us ...
Sylvie
ps : I imagined you posted this because tomorrow it is the 90th anniversary of the Armenian genocide. 24th of April 1915.

Wonderful shot and treatment Garo!
well, for your information I am an Armenian from Iran.
I went to Cyprus to Melkonian Educational Institute and now I am in Vienna and working as a programmer.

Well,i don´t know...i only think that all must right to render tribute to those who seems to him,to have deserved it.I do not want with this to offend nobody but it is that it that does not interest to me to politicize with these subjects and much less to offend to anybody with my words.Single that distant histories of heroes that i have not seen are not interesting for me,in my country had been teenagers in the same year of my born that fought to preserve our Malvínas Islands, that belonged to us by and from always from territorial and geographics aspects. But that was another murder-childs murder.
I was two years old,and now it is called on me my to see that survivors military with the lack of its extremities and burns that already they have but of 20 years in the street requesting money or wheelchairs or with carts that transports half for above of their trunks.iI do not want to do apholoía of which it touches to us or not like countries, single that each one must right to think and to o give tributes to his or to theyr owns or the hipothetical owns, without offending to the opposites or others.
I sayed all this because certain things have arrived me at my personal e-mail.
Please brothers let us leave hipócresy and no longer we take offence but respect.

The picture in veiw along with its commentary note conveys a rule of nature - that no terminator can illiminate a nation, no matter how cruel somebody would be. Supposingly the figure of 1,500,000 victims, Arminians survived to built this monument. Hitler exterminated millions of Jews and they flourished later. Likewise, it seems that history may repeat itself in Afghanistan and Iraq. There are people who talk about PEACE, but they are made suppressed and accused!

Good presentation that really is a thoughtful perspective. And an eye opener for each PEACE lovers..... Well done Garo, your presentation is motivational for both sides.

Hello, Garo.

Thank you for this thoughtful image and note about the Armenian genocide. I am drawn to places such as this around the world, places that are both sacred and that attest to the brutality of humans, sounding an alarm to future generations. Much love and peace to you.
Jose
