|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|I was designing a brochure months ago for my fellow advertising company. They supplied me their production sample to photograph. Normally I’ll ask my professional photographer friend do this job. But I challenged myself to give a try, as he was somewhere out of town.|
I used my office downlight (to create dramatic) lighting. For contrast, dark blue satin used as background that lifted up the character of the Motor Harley-Davidson Cycles souvenir. PP was done to enhance the saturation and improving shadow/highlight area. The flare… it was created in photoshop.
A good DSLR or fitted with manual control compact, could do better. A lot of better photographic effect can be experimented. But as our friend shared to us on my previous post, ‘the best camera is the one we have in hand’. Now I see, what he meant, as the only camera I have that moment was a compact. But if I don’t have any, there would be no photography opportunity. Good thing was, recently, this proposed photograph was ‘approved’ for their brochure production. Though not a professional shot, no complaint on the photo arises (just my graphic was – no need to know:).
Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I made my first product-photography with a compact digital camera. Feel so good. I want to share this with TL friends, to look for suggestion on improvement and tips. Thank You.

Good artwork, creative! TFS
The best camera is the one in your hands indeed.
Where can I see your work in action?
Hi Ramdan! Was this taken from a compact camera! It's great, Ramdan! Lovely colors and details with very less noise. The added sparkle makes it more presentable. Good job indeed!
Very nice Ramdan, not sure about how LARGE the star light is on the logo, I might would have made it smaller and added another one some place! But do you ride??? I ride motorcycles! They are Fun!
My first closer look at your product shot. Looks good and interesting blue crepes. Contrasting well with white embossed letter and a tint of star bust.
Good idea, very good take, very very good effect. Nice lightnes. Original capture.
