[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A simple shot taken only a block away from my house. The picture didn't last long as the ducks were sold to buyers quickly. Yet there they sat in front of the small feed store, in a kids swimming pool...and the shadows attracted me...as well as the ducks. I am sure many a parent would understand how animals are so cute when young....and this may be why it would be wrong to assume next Xmas when eating a goose perhaps, that one of these were a pet...most were I am sure..

nice grouping and ethereal lighting
the frame dominates too mucy in my opinion
but
have you seen some of my monstrosities...:)
the one in the middle sort of sums up their plight..abandonment and to some extent freedom from fear..
childlike in their trust they await their fate.
they seem to be herding into the spotlight

Bonjour Bob,
The unusual place where you've caught these ducklings, and probably the artificial and uneven light above the gang makes this shot really attractive. Besides, as you mention, the cute factor of ducklings, there is also the inquisitive eye of the one in the middle and the colors, all matching very well. Superb light, contrast and exposure too.

An interesting compositrion with some nice shadows.
Only one duckling is really clearly visible though ... the others you want to see but can't quite. I think all the semi-ducklings around the edge are a little distracting too,but I guess you couldn't do much about them.
Its still a nice image anyway.

Another good title could be the leader! :)
I like the way they all like to listen to him and I know you have idea of with duck i'm talk about.
The bassin were they are, give a soft background. I enjoy it!

Hello Bob,

I can see what you mean about the shadows attracting you! The whole shot has a strange mystical appearance due, I'm sure, to the light and dark interaction!

The most interesting duck is the one second right, with its head cocked! You can tell from the expression its thinking, 'Is this guy for real!'

Amazing, this background of murky water... it gives a decor a little fantastic... and this duck who turns an eye toward you... the sweetness of the down! TFS this very good shot Bob, alain

Very cute shot of these little ducklings. I don't mean to "agree", but I think that the framing is not bad in green, but I think it would be better toned down a bit to be less vibrant. Great angle shot at though, as far as lighting- really good and the duckling in the middle really stands out. Looks like you captured his attention.
