Hello Terklens...Is this "Your cup of tea"???

TL Friends I like to take you to the place of Tea Garden in South India....famous for its Nilgiri Tea.

This one is Kanan Devan Hill Plantation Limited, owned by Tata Tea. The best thing I liked here 80% of shares are owned by the employees.

Tea...the drink which makes you awake, to feel good! When its warm and you have ice tea, and when its cold you have hot tea. Works almost always perfectly.

Tea plant has life of 100 years. After every year it needs 'Prunning'. The leaves are cut every week.

The cut leaves are then washed and dried with natural air. Then it goes thru the process called CTC...Crushing, Tearing and Curling of tea leaves. Then it goes to the drier, where it is dried naturally...this is called oxidation process. After this then it goes thru blower, which takes fibre out and gathers the tea. Then it goes thru differnt grades of sieve, and you get the tea powder. See...so simple process of making tea :D

Can you imagine to get 250 grams of actual tea powder, you need one kilo of tea leaves.

India is largest producer, consumer and exporter of tea in this world.

Thanks for reading this mumbo-jumbo on tea...and if you get confused...have a cup of TEA!!!

If you are cold, tea will warm you;
if you are too heated; it will cool you;
if you are depressed, it will cheer you;
if you are exhausted, it will calm you.
- William Gladstone

Hi Vandana,
This looks very much like the tea plantations that I have visited in Sir Lanka. Nice composition, pity about the sky which is cloudy and over-exposed.

Very nice compo, very nice green.

Hi Vandana,

This is beautiful picture and the framing done is really attractive. The greenery is swatched i mean that it looks like a map. The weather also supported the shot.

Well done and TFS.

Hello Vandana
Let me open with a 'Tea quote:
While theres tea theres hope.
- Sir Arthur Pinero
What a wonderfull view
Excellent photo.
I once did hear that only the top leaves are used for tea,
and 98 % of the bush not, is that true?

Tea has always had its own legends and riruals
plays a strong role in all the countries that had been part /or
strongly related to Great Brittain

Here in Holland ( and many other countries) we are more Coffee drinkers

Welldone Vandana , good post !
Greetings and smile from Holland

The patterns here are fascinating -- there is a mossy texture to the image and n=only closer observation tells me that it is a false impression, for the trees are so close that they create that texture from afar
Great observation
Superb colours and details

wonderful deepth and sense of space captured here vandana :)
the green is beautiful, a perfect contrast for the winding dirt road :)
very well composed photo

hi vandana!
this is so beautiful, i like this road and tea field.

Hi Vandana!
And whether you know what is it a highland tea? The recipe is simple - you are making the strong tea and you are pouring half a mug. You are filling the rest up with the spirit. You are drinking hot drink. You are drinking the half and then again you are filling up with the spirit. You are drinking the half and then again you are filling up with the spirit. you are regaining consciousness after two days.

Hi Vandana
Very nice scenery. I love the winding path and all those tufts of tea plants. Nice depth of field, we see tea plants as far as the eye can reach. The steep slope in diagonal creates a kind of movement in the image.
Very good work

Hi Vandana
Splended photo, great light and real good POV. Superb presentation, you have, once again, done a good job.

Hi Vandana,
I love this shot! You have captured perfectly the rolling landscape, and the soft sculpted texture of the tea leaves when seeing millions of them at once!
Wow, a 100-year plant life, pruning every year, and cut every week. Almost as demanding as children. Me, for iced tea, I like it sweet, southern US-style, with a bit of mint. If hot, plain and strong.
Thanks for sharing,

Hi Vandana,

Nice to see a photo from India! A lovely tea garden, captured from a nice POV, giving a full view of the tea plantation and the patterns created by the plants. Beautiful green hues, well composed and very sharp.
Love and hugs from both of us,

As a tea drinker I now know a whole lot more about my drink of choice. The plants look like a carpet, lush and green. Love the soft colors. The little roads/paths reall make the composition. Congratulations

Hi Vandana,

Beautiful look of this rug bans of tea.

Hi Vandana,
This looks so wonderful; I know how it feels to walk through a tea plantation - we visited one in the northern part of South-Africa near Tzaneen - and you know what before that I never did see how the leafs did look like!
Lovely how that dirt road meanders through the plantation and takes us into the far distance.
Great shot.

Hola Vandana ,

Fantástica captura de este paisaje, muy buenos colores y la textura perfecta. Well done.

Hi Vandana,
Very cool picture. I like the color of the bushes. Great composition. TFS

Wonderful composition. The road seems to meander forever into the hills. The overcast sky really sets the mood. I think bright sunshine would have spoiled it. TFS.

hello Vandana,

wonderful landscape of this tea plants.. i love to drink tea but not anymore because everytime i drink my body rejected.. tea are too heaty i cannot sleep and my teeth in pain (swollen enamel)

tfs and happy weekend, terry

Hi Vandana, this one is excellent.
Composition is very successful thanks to the road - which begins more or less on the foreground left corner... and leads the eye very efficiently into the distance !
The greens also look really fresh, the vegetation well in focus and these add a very welcome touch of their own.

Well done. Best regards, Daniel
