I posed a full face portrait of Santosh, my Sri Lankan students, in Trekearth last week. Now, I am posting this other shot of him on that same day...this time, focusing on the eyes, his strong gaze,a nd my self-portrait.

Great jib Manny! Wonderful tonal range the reflection in the eyes are magical I love your work your good at what you do....

Hi Manuel.
Here the lashes are perfectly sharp. (cfr my last critique)and the result is that the eyes are more powerfull.
it is always a pleasure to wait for your post.
Have a nice day.

Oh, these eyes are unbeleaveble. And you are able to show this beauty in the perfect way. Another favorite!

Excellent. I like the high contrast here, and great DOF.

Wow! This seems very different for you! Excellent photo. Great black and white. You find subjects with the most interesting eyes to look at. You capture them amazingly. I like how is very dark which makes a nice contrast for the rest of the photo. Excellent portrait. JP

Manuel, could you tell me if you processed your photo? I'm curious if such great contrast is real...?

a portrait full of life......
when a part says all..

Hey Manuel!
You have really captured my interest with all your great photographs, this is yet another great in my books. The eyes really speak the tale here.

I love the focus, and the use of black and white instead of colour. A beautiful capture, yet another one of your works, going into my favourites list.

Impossible !

Wow! You did a great job here! Those eyes are powerful and sharp! Love the contrast and the details!

Wow, indeed strong eyes Manny. Great capture. The highlight in the eyes, the B&W process which enhances it even more, and such tonal range you have. Very captivating eyes.

I really like the B&W processing you did. Could you show us how to achieve such a B&W look & feel via a workshop? My B&W usualy are flat, I'd like to give them this kind of glow. I don't really know how to call it. Or maybe point to an existing workshop that explains how to do it. Thanks in advance. :o) Have a nice day. You have superb photos.
