Only to about 50 Kilometers to the north of the Bogotá, the beautiful city of Zipaquirá, to a height 2.750 meters, it usualy attracts the weekends many visitors and pilgrims thanks to their main attraction: The Salt Cathedral.
This built it inside the tunnels of the salines that are of the biggest in the world. Between 1.992 and 1995 were built the New Salt Cathedral, something bigger and more mejestic than the old one. The architect Garavito Pearl directed the construction.
Their depth is of 120 meters and in total it covers a surface of more than 8.500 square meters and includes domes and chapels of the saline rock.

An nom du père, du fils et de l'esprit du sel ... nice shot.

It's strong to put human beeing - boy on cross - I would like it without the person on the photo but with cross' reflxtion on ground. I think it would be interesting for me more. It's just my idea so don't mind.

The picture a bit blurry. But a very nice picture. I like the black and white with the silhouette

This is definitely a 'wow' photo....excellent on all counts, well done!

very powerful shot, Renato!
person's silouette probably is too dark, however, the big cross with light coming out of it makes the photo really powerful.

out of points, will add tomorrow

Great shot Renato. Good idea and interesting effect...

Fantastic and unusual photo. First it shows up as a Photo Shop trick (still then it is nice) And you look good and read the explanation. Great shot well seen.

Nice idea with the silhouette placed in this dramatic lighting situation. The only change I might suggest would be to have the person put his hands somewhere other than in his pockets, so we can see his hands or at least one hand. I just think it would make a more interesting silhouette.

Thanks for sharing!

cool. nice choice to silouette. too bad it's a posed shot though, it'd be nice if it were a bit more candid--seems a bit too much like a tourist shot the way it's posed, but the exposure brings it up a notch! good pic.

Hi Renato...this is a strong image. Very well composed and very good use of the light.

Excellent image! Very expressive! Great work!
