ok...here's the story. I had redecorated my room and searched everywhere for a print, or some type of artwork to hang in my room, and was very unsucessful.

After weeks of searching, I decided to take some of my own photos. My room is now blue and orange, so I decided to go to our local grocery store. In the bulk candy isle, I bought gum balls, only picking out blue and orange ones. I also had some orange polar fleece fabric left over from another project.

Here is one of the final prints that I had hung on my wall (and I tend to change them quite frequently.)I was extremely happy with the result of the two contrasting colours.

**Post Pro - Cropped closer. Everything else is exactly how it was taken.

Funny effect and excellent contrast! Fantastic strong colours Pamela, and the idea was very original!

Briliant idea Pamela and the outcome was great. Very nice DoF and the curves of the blanket is very plesant with a nice structure as well. I like the strong contrasting colours.

Funny, we would say a tortoise! The marriage of colours is good and I like the composition.

Amusant, on dirait une tortue! Le mariage des couleurs est bon et j'aime la composition.

It turned out well Pamela. It reminded me of the days when small mama and papa corner stores had those glass gum dispensing machines where a nickel and a turn of the handle would would give you those gum balls:-)As I recall you judge how stale they were by the difficulty to bite through the outer layer.

Pamela, you certainly succeeded in creating a composition based mainly in the strong color contrast. Iím quite surprised to find here such a narrow DOF, especially because you used a flash for the shot... I guess the flash was not of the portable kind, and that you spent some time doing a fine light metering work here, am I right? ;-)

Pamela, this is a wonderful photo! The colors are very engaging (the contrast is well-see), and the DOF is of a great effect. Bravo!

I loved the artistic forms you've achieved with that picture, not to mention the colors. I reckon it matches beautifully your room's deco. Pamela, 2 thumbs-up for that one!

Wonderfull Pamela.

You are very creative, i like the photo and the note.

Well done

This is great. Really strong colours. Yes it would look so good enlarged and hanging on a wall.

Great idea and fine execution, Pamela. You get quite a 3D effect from your work here, and the contrast between the two colors is indeed what makes this one stand out. Interesting how soft a look you accomplished to give to the polar fleece. Well done.

P.S. It also looks terrific against the blueish page layout that Adam used for this new site ;-)

A really brilliant composition, Pamela. Any kind of opposition you can think of is in that shot : blue/orange, textured/smooth, sharp/blurred, hard/soft, big/small, etc. A really nice print to put on your wall. Are we going to see the others?

very funnily, the unusual orange and blue colors remind me my own room when I was 17. congrats
