Sunset from 24 Hour Town
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|Sunset, as seen from 24 Hour Town. 24 Hour Town is a temporary town at the 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo, a 24 hour mountain bike race about 30 miles north of Tucson that took place this weekend.|
There are 1350 racers and about 3000+ people camped out. The course is 15.5 miles (10 miles of singletrack and 5.5 miles of ranch road). They are various classes (solo, duo, 4 person, 5 person coed, corporate). The race starts at noon on Sat and finishes on noon Sun. Your last lap has to finish after noon on Sun or you DNF (did not finish) no matter how many laps you finish, hence the 24 hour race.
I did a duo with a friend. We completed 10 laps (5 each) or about 77 miles each. We still have a ways to go, the winning duo did 20 laps and rode the whole 24 hours.
I will post a few more from the race over the coming days.

wonderful colors! very strong. good frame.
I am shocked that you do not have more points on this photo? What beautiful colors, clarity, and pov...hmmm...I lived in Washoe Valley in Nevada and I only wished I had taken photos of the beautiful desert sunsets with the Sierra Nevada Mountains filling up the sky....but then...I was 13 years old and I think I was more into Horses and reading at that time....Nicely done!
