|This forest of wooden giraffes were at a roadside tourist craft stall at Capetown. As soon as I saw them I thought there was a great picture to be had somehow. I spent sometime looking for the right angle to photograph from and took quite a few images trying to avoid anything in the background.|

I like the angle! I think I would even try a lower angle... but you say you wanted to avoid having anything in the background... so I guess you tried that lower angle eh? Would have been nice though..
I like the absolute difference between the blue sky and the brown giraffes. Cool contrast.
Somehow you also captured the different "facial" expressions of some of the giraffes.

In thumbnail I thought I see a real herd of giraffes.
