what happened to the world i know?
lost amongst the concrete jungle,
against all hopes of staying free,
life is a constant battle for survival,
no more playful moments,
no more tender loving care
what is left of the home i once know....
only a distant memory,
only another daydream....
wake up now....time to face the real world...
never kind, never free.

this is a stray kitten i found looking for food at the beach in Johor Bahru, i am captivated by the way it looked at me, longing for attention and love....
this is one of the many unwanted animals all around us...if they have feelings, what would they be questioning? what will they think of the world we built today?

i hope you like this shot. i love the innocence of it. comments are most welcomed, have a nice day.

Great shot, very good timing and framing! The sadness in his expression in perfectly reflected, amazing how the posture is cute and so touching at the same time. It's funny how we allways think animals (stray animals, specially) are free - I like how you show the opposite on this picture. DOF takes him above the scenery and highlights his loneliness. Very good work! And thanks for the reflection on the note.

I like the complex background. The cat really is skinny and its stare really brings out the theme of this photo.

Et oui! Un autre oublier de la vie. C'est tellement triste de voir çà. Tu as bien réussie à présenté la tristesse de ce chat. Bravo!

An excellent capture, composition and note. The title is a perfect match for this little cats expression. Well seen.
