Visions of Summer

Well it's snowing like crazy today and decided to add a bit of colour to my day by uploading this Salpiglosis. One of my favorite late blooming flowers from my garden. I love the intricate patterns and the shades of pink and yellow.

I hope this shot brightens your day.

I cropped, sharpened and adjusted the contrast in Photoshop 4 then framed it in Adobe Illustrator.

This is such a tease! We don't have snow here yet, but it is gray and less than pretty right now. thanks for brightening my day!
One small suggestion, if I may: I would be inclined to make it less centred, to add some negative space ovff to the right -- a purely subjective idea, of course

Wonderfully composed. You've really got the hang of this now. You don't NEED a new camera, but it sure helpe, eh?

Hi,Janice, what a beautiful flower with such lovely colors.
valentina

Beautiful, intensely colored flower. I can easily see why it is one of your favorites. It is unusual in its texture and colors, I think the veining of color is what makes the colors so intense, you captured that very well here, you have really good clarity and the details are suburb in this shot. I don't know how this one got past me before. Your notes are also very good, a real plus for a poster here. I like the soft focus BG but especially that you kept a little more than just the single bloom in focus. Nicely composed. TFS

Wowww.. another superb macro from you. Impressive close-up capture of a real beauty from great POV. The clarity, details and composition are all flawless. An inspiring capture indeed.
TFS and have a nice night!
