The Ravages of Time-Machu Picchu
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|This was the day after we arrived at Machu Picchu from the Inca Trail. We spent the night in the town of Aguas Calientes, then went back up to Machu Picchu the next morning. It was overcast and rained the whole morning. It gave the site a very magical/mystical feel.|
I would highly recommend that you go if given the opportunity, especially if you are trekking the trail for 4 days. It gives Machu Picchu that much more meaning when you get there.
For PP work, I adjusted levels, contrast, and color. I darkened the clouds and background mountain by using the black brush on a seperate layer. Then resized, USM, and uploaded.
Hope you like it.

You did well with your PP on the background, it brings out the ruins perfectly. Sharp as ever. You are very good at taking landscape images, Comlements to the photographer.
Wow. this is really a stunning photo. Would love to travel to see this. Thanx for bringing it to me the way you did.
A great view David! I've always wanted to go to Machu Picchu myself - Ah well, maybe one day!
You have a really good angle here. Must have been very frustrating to be there in the rain.
I have done a workshop, as for my taste, I think your image could be a little darker and more saturated. See what you think - You may well still prefer your original of course!
Hi David, its really nice to see different angles of Machu Picchu. This is great with the cloud cover in the background. Nice detail.
Hello David! Great place and very nice colours in your composition! Good perspective! Well done!
Just a quick note , to congratulate you for the great mood on this shot, the city in the clouds is well taken here. This lonely tree reminds me the movie The Lord of the Rings
