Mariage problems in Quebec City.

While roaming the streets in lovely Quebec City I passed this coupple a few times.. and all the time they argued in a way that told me some was wrong.

Now.. my French is not good enough to understood
the full context of there conversation..but I had the idea the Lady wanted to see some shops and the Gentleman the points of interest.

After a few hours I ''found them back'' sitting on a central square and looking to there body language there was no 'armistice/truce' found yet...

Quebec City .. a place of many situations ^_^

Thanks for your time Folks

John T

Hi John,

Great capture and mood.. Nice title too

Hi John
I couldn't take this photo - I wouldn't have the courage. How did she react when you took her/their photo??
Well seen, well composed.
Thanks for the lesson in sheer guts!

hmmm, they really look like strangers ... are you sure that is the same couple you've seen earlier, lol.

stay well,

Hi John.. ha ha.. fancy seeing this, I think I would have been a bit nervous to take the photo too, just in case she hit you on your head with her handbag.. he he

Well seen and captured..but surely they could come to a compromise.

Cheers Dawn.

lol, made me laughing,
great mood there, very well caught, unbelieveble how we really can feel this story just with their body-language

Hi John

Good daily life scene, with a strong compositional diagonal. Excellent colour & sharpnes Tfs!

Hai John,
Gr, Jacqueline

excellent mood!
hope the armistice for the evenning;)
bien vu!

hi John!

Great catch of this fighting couple... they are really not happy..
I also do not know if I had the courage to take there picture.. ; ) But you did it and you did it very well.

In cases like this, the lady should have gone to the shops and the man to his points of interrest. Then later meet at a designed place at a certain time and compare notes.
A lot of people depend too much on their better half and can't act for themselves. This is a good example.
Very good photo. Body language speaks for itself.

Hallo John.
Jouw dag as in ieder geval weer goed.
Groet Frans.

very nice. great observation. thank you.

Hallo John,

I have done this many times to my EX husband. He could be SO angry, so I would turn away to protect myself! This brings back memories of how it used to be, and how it is now with a new wonderful husband!
You remind me of my gratitude!
Thanks John!

Awesome photo with a sad story indeed. So glad I never sit like that with my Husband..hmmm although at this point in time I am indeed MUCH futher away from him sitting...hmmm
Great observation. Sure hope they both figured out that they could enjoy the day together by compromise..almost like sharing the remote control...:o)

Cool/Scary capture. Considering the body language and the lack of shopping bags looks like he got his way and is now in the doghouse. TFS

Hi John,
One often speaks about the two lonelinesses (deux solitudes) in Canada because of the two official languages, English and French. The communication is not done always well between the two cultures. I see more this reality in your photo that a simple quarrel of couple! :) Well composed and colored! Bravo and thank you for sharing! Annie

I have to comment on the placement in the gallery. There are two pictures of a similar park bench shot in a similar line posted side by side. They look like they tell a story. Yours has the people with the obvious body language, the next photo shows an empty bench. Yours is about loneliness in company, the other about emptiness. They look great together - the other picture is by Kiwis

Well captured John my friend, one can almost feel the tension. You are a brave man even considering the shot. Good colour and textures. I see looking at certain parts of the ladies skin that she would be a prime candidate for skin cancer. A hat with a broader brim is required :). TFS,
Many thanks for your comment on
Corra Lynn Gorge

Good capture, John. They almost look like some people I know. Never deny a woman her shopping. I had learned that the hard way. I am sure it cost him tripple as much just to make up afterward.
Excellent pov on this candid shot with much detail. Hope you didn't atract their attention while shooting. Sometimes, the ire is turned to the outsider.

Hi John!
After read your comment I went to the gallery to see our picture. Compliment for your photo! The colors are great and the title ... it's the reality of today.

Doeii

Nice shot , good moment, composition and title.
Well done

hi John,
Interesting candid...and note!
I hope it went well eventually!

Good focus
Regards, Daniel

Hoi John
There is a statement : 'Often a photo tells more than a thousand words'
and you underlined that statement perfectly!
Compliment! Groet

Don't you come near me!! The body language is very readable - quite a sad story to read Johnty. Anger leads to bitterness, that leads to ???
But a good picture for us, and a lesson for us all to learn? Forgiveness, and to learn to give and take! Be happy!

Hi John,
Very nice capture of these 2 strangers but with your story we can really think this is a couple fighting. Very well done my friend.

Super en met humor!

Hi John,

It's obvious that the woman is upset but the man doesn't seem to care very much. That's really sad...
Great POV and warm lighting! I like how you've captured this emotional moment.

Very well done!

Gee! Talk about boring holiday or show them! I think i would prefer to go alone... No compromise lol!
But i don't believe we see that just in Quebec... :)
That mood say so much!

I think you took their picture without knowing it. You have them in that frame properly composed and very well focused. Their problem is easy to solve, is it not? Ahh, but there must be other reasons.

Thank you for your comments on my photo on "Scottish Faire", I apreciate it.

great mood captured in this pic oom Johannes...

Hallo John,

This is a common problem in the word.

Very good comp and pov.
