A seagull visitor
We also have a cat, and I can relate to this incident well. My cat once dragged a bird in under the garden gate.
Great capture of both the bird and your husband. Good composition, and colours.
I won't tell your husband ... mums the word.
Given the fact that you had to be quick this is a great capture, Janice. Funny story too.
Lighting on the subjects is ok, the outside world is a bit overexposed but that's normal.
And what a cat, I imagine the gull didn't surrender too easily ;o). Thanks for sharing (TFS).
interesting photo. i enjoyed reading the story too! one suggestion i would make is to crop around your husband and the bird he is holding. i think that the window to the right and the bird on the fence is distracting. by eliminating those, it helps the viewer focus in on the important aspects.
Jancie, I also have a cat like this, but it does not bring me just birds, but snakes, worms, and anything else that moves outside. It never kills them just lets them loose in the house. I enjoyed your picture and note very much. Thanks for sharing.

Amazing story ! Nice picture. Clear and sharp.
Very good instant shot. *
Nice both, the husband and the seagull! And nice daily life! Very well done! Claude
Don't worry, Janice. We won't tell your husband he's on TrekLens.
Very nice daily life to show us this easygoing moment.
It's a pity I rarely have the time to come here; after all, there are so great images to be checked. Anyway, best regards - to you and to your husband.
Funny story . Nice catch !
I tried a little WS. The result is not terrible.
The size of the photo is too small for a good result. But you could try the same procedure with your original shot.
