i may be using a digital camera most of the time...but i still love film cameras :)
...especially the fully manual ones...:)

i can't quite explain the attraction...i think it could be the anticipation of waiting and seeing the results and prints :)
i find that with a manual camera, i tend to think the shot though more :) spending more time composing and not just squeezing the trigger

the M3 here is from a friend, this is one of the most beautiful camera ever made, perfection from skilled craftsmen :)

my dear Xu,

I have to admitt it's just now I understand you.
I still have 5 more shots from my first film..on an old Exa 1b(f\german) with Pentacomn lenses.Fully manual:)
It feels GREAT!!!!!!

it's like playing a real instrument and not let the simphony being played by computer programes:)

this photo goes to my favorites:)

How did you achieve this light? It is perfect! I remember some of your other camera shots, and this one is as good if not better.

Katya
P.S. Have you thought of a career in advertising? :))

That splendid M3 look very similar to my Bessa R. You succés to make look very attractiv. Well done.

Steph.

what a beautiful photo and camera...this could easily be an ad for Leica...i too have a soft spot for fully manual film cameras...and although i agree that often with film i thought out my shots better...with the number of shots i can take with my DSLR i still get similar results...just in more attempts...nice work...peace***

Bonjour Xu
It's hard to accept that these "RollsRoyce" of photography
will soon be used only for nostalgia and pleasure by indomitables!!!!
I own an M4 and keep practicing without film its timer for precise rendering !
Gorgeous light and high point of view.
